Quite the number of musical discoveries are available in Inverness, Scotland this week as XpoNorth brings on yet another year of creative madness. Through EXCITE there are three international artists making the trip and we asked three questions to the Belgian band SHHT and Danish artist Ida Kudo.

So, SHHT, what are you on about?
- We strive to be avant garde and innovative, without losing our musicality. Our ambition is to exceed the omnipresent mediocrity in pop music today, by having no creative boundaries in the music and using humorous yet clever social criticism in the lyrics. Our live act is described as a mixture between an earthquake in Haiti and taking drugs on a fun fair.

What's the best thing happened so far this year, all areas?
- World cup football.

What do you think about being part of EXCITE for 2018?
- It’s gonna be amazing!

Hey Ida Kudo, what does your music mean to you?
- Music means being alive. I feel alive when I am with music. Music also means being free and being myself.

What's the best music related news for this year so far?
- I got signed (with NMS, Nordic Music Society) and released a song that I'm very happy about and proud of (wolf).

What do you think about being part of EXCITE for 2018?
- It's an amazing opportunity for me to play in other countries in Europe thru Excite. I know, my sound is better received in some other European countries than Denmark so it's an amazing opportunity for me to create important contacts and connect with another audience.

Both acts play Mad Hatters / In Association with EXCITE
